We process the email address and product option supplied when a shopper requests a one-time restock alert, together with the request time, shop, delivery status and cancellation status.

How the data is used

Requests are stored to check product availability and send the requested message. Shopify supplies product and inventory details. Resend processes email delivery. The app does not add shoppers to a marketing list or sell their email addresses.

If a merchant enables weekly summaries, we store their chosen email address and email preferences. Summaries contain aggregate product demand, not customer email addresses. Queued and sent summaries are deleted after 30 days; merchant preferences remain until the shop data is deleted. Merchants can turn summaries off in the app.

Control and retention

A cancellation link appears when you create a new request and in the alert email. Duplicate signups do not reveal an existing request's cancellation link. Pending and unresolved requests expire after 90 days. Sent and cancelled records are deleted after 30 days. Expired records are deleted within a further 30 days.

Access and deletion

Contact the merchant where you requested the alert to request a copy or deletion of your data. Shopify privacy requests are recorded for merchant fulfillment; deletion requests remove matching app records. Uninstalling stops new delivery, and Shopify's shop-redaction request deletes the remaining shop data.

Unresolved privacy requests remain available for merchant fulfillment. Completed privacy requests are deleted after 30 days. Hashed signup rate-limit records expire hourly and are removed by the following hourly cleanup; shop-specific preview rate limits are also removed when Shopify requests shop redaction.

Restricted disaster-recovery snapshots are rotated on a seven-day schedule and can temporarily retain deleted records. They are used only to recover the service. Deletions must be reapplied before restored records are used to send messages.

To enforce the monthly email allowance, we keep the shop, month, usage timestamp and a random delivery identifier for up to 62 days. These usage records contain no recipient address or email content. They are removed when Shopify requests shop-data deletion.
